A mind can only see a few levels of abstraction ahead or beyond current reality. (e.g. it gets increasingly difficult to imagine additional moves in chess the further out you go.) when trying to work out a problem, take the next step so that step is done and no longer befuddling your mind. The problem is that you can't know before hand if the step you take now will lead to a dead end in the unseen future. "Creativity is a messy process" |
