I read in Science magazine that children that have been exposed to the tuberculosis virus have less chance of having asthma and other alergies (Science Vol. 276 13 June, 1997 p. 1645). However, researchers are "urgently" looking for genes that contribute to asthmain order to suppress or alter them I assume. What if there is really nothing wrong with our genes? What if they are perfectly adapted to life on earth? What's really wrong is that we have already begun to interfere with nature's perfection without understanding our role in it's harmony. |
